Clearwater Beach Florida
Clearwater Beach, Florida, is a perfect place for a Florida beach vacation. Whether you're looking to bring your family, book a weekend getaway or find a spot for a luxurious Florida honeymoon, Clearwater Beach has it all!
There's plenty to do here on Florida's Gulf coast. Aside from the beach, there's plenty to see and do in this sun-splashed corner of Florida.
Things To Do in Clearwater
First and foremost is the beach -- the glorious, sun-washed beach. It's nice and wide with sand perfect for sand castles, beach chairs, volleyball and more. And when t comes to the water, there are rafts, boat rides, parasailing and more! Clearwater Beach is perfect for families, singles and honeymoons.
But what else is there to do in the Clearwater Beach Florida area?
First, there's the Clearwater aquarium, which is a little out-of-the-ordinary. You see, this aquarium is devoted to rescue and rehab of injured sea life. It's both fun and educational.
If you love jazz, you might want to schedule your vacation for October and take part in the Clearwater Jazz Festival -- 4 days of music for your ears!
For a different view of the beach and water, try a walk out to the end of Pier 60. At sunset you'll not only see a beautiful way to end the day, but also see festivities similar to those you might find in Mallory Square in Key West.
Don't forget about Busch Gardens, in nearby Tampa. It's a great attraction that doesn't get enough publicity, in my opinion. (It's actually my favorite attraction after Disney World.)
Go on a catamaran tour of the area, which can be anywhere from an hour or two, to an all-day affair.
Clearwater Florida Hotels
When it comes to Clearwater, Florida hotels, what's your pleasure? Would you like a hotel on the beach, a family resort or a honeymoon hideaway? From chain hotels to resorts to more exclusive accommodations, there's plenty to choose from.
Some interesting hotels include the Sandpearl Resort, with its 700 feet of beach, luxurious spa and "Camp Ridley" for children 5 to 10 years of age.
Another to consider is the Hilton Beach Resort, with 10 acres on the beach. A nice idea for a romantic weekend getaway!
For a honeymoon, think about the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. Located on Sandy Key, just south of Clearwater Beach proper, you can revel in luxury. It's not cheap, but it'll produce wonderful vacation memories.

Clearwater Beach Weather
Clearwater claims to have the most sunshine days in Florida -- 361 out of 365!
In general, the summers are hot (80s and 90s) and the winters relatively mild in the 60s. And while it's not really bathing suit weather from December to around March or April, it's usually warm enough for shorts or light pants.
Just be prepared if a cold front comes through -- it can get chilly!
To get to Clearwater Beach, you can fly into Tampa International or St. Petersburg/Clearwater International (obviously closer). It's worth checking both airports, since there can be a price difference!
If you're driving, you'll find Clearwater on the Florida Gulf coast between Tampa and Sarasota.
