Disney World Resorts in Florida
Disney World resorts in Florida are mostly located in Orlando. The Walt Disney World resort complex has almost two dozen resorts for your vacationing pleasure!
But there's also another Disney resort that's located in Vero Beach, Florida -- on the Atlantic ocean. Imagine -- the magic of Disney alongside the beach!
Let's check out the Vero Beach resort, then the Orlando resorts.
Disney Vero Beach Resort
The official name is "Disney's Vero Beach Resort", and it's located (naturally) in Vero Beach. Vero is about a half hour south of Cocoa Beach, and about an hour and a half north of West Palm Beach, on the Atlantic coast.
The Disney Vero Beach Resort has all the amenities you would expect of a Disney property, but is planned for families or groups who would like to stay at the ocean in style. Available are everything from efficiencies through three-bedroom cottages.
Activities range from wine tasting to breakfast with the Disney characters! For more information and details, check out the Disney Beach Resort page.
Disney World Resorts in Florida -- Orlando
Orlando is the prime location for the Disney World resorts in Florida. From the value All Star resorts to the upscale Grand Floridian, there is a resort to fit any budget.
There are a total of 22 ways you can stay at a Disney World resort:
For more detail on each of these, check out the Walt Disney World resorts page.
Disney Magical Express
One of the really nice things about staying at a Disney resort is not only the free transportation to all the theme parks, but the Magical Express service Disney offers to its Orlando guests.
Basically, the Magical Express:
Trust me when I say that the Magical Express is wonderful -- when I lived in Orlando, the traffic was horrendous and it's only gotten worse over the years. Let Disney take care of it all for you, so that your vacation starts as soon as your get to Orlando.
Anything Else About Disney World Resorts in Florida?
If you have your heart set on staying at a Disney World resort in Florida on a specific date, do book well ahead of time. How far ahead? Personally, when I make my Disney resort reservations, I try to book about six months ahead of time.
The reason I like to book that far in advance is that I like to be able to also book my character dining, which can be done up to six months in advance. And as I have found out the hard way -- Disney restaurant reservations fill up very quickly!
The Disney World resorts in Florida are wonderful vacation spots, and I very much recommend them.
