Orlando Florida Weather
If you're planning your Central Florida vacation, you need to know about the Orlando, Florida weather. Is it hot? Cold? Wet? Dry?
What time of year does Orlando, Florida have the best weather? Do they ever have cold weather and snow? What are the summers like?
Questions, questions! Keep on reading for some answers!
What's the Best Time to Visit (Weather-Wise)?
In my opinion, the best time of the year for visiting is when the Orlando Florida weather is mild and not too humid. When there aren't many thunderstorms and only partly cloudy skies.
Does that sound good to you, too?
For my money, I think March through April are great! I also like October. The Orlando Florida weather is usually in the 70's to low 80's, nights are in the 50's and 60's. Naturally there can be cold snaps (and you could see days in the 50's during the real cold snaps), but for the most part weather is nice.
What's the Worst Time to Visit?
I'd have to say July and August are the worst times for Orlando Florida weather. Count on temperatures in the 90's and humidity near 100% most days. Showers are frequent, and after the rain the pavement tends to steam - yikes!
Oh-Oh, My Florida Vacation is Then!
Ok, you know the worst; now how to get around it!
First, plan your activities for as early in the day as possible. Starting around noon is when the rain can start up. It's really hot and humid until about 4 PM, when both start easing off some.
If you can, plan to be inside (or inside as much as possible) between noon and 4 PM. That could mean shopping in a mall, going to a movie, enjoying a waterpark or rides and attractions where you can be in air-conditioning at least half the time.
Your summer Orlando Florida weather will very likely be wet. Make sure to bring a poncho or umbrella or some sort so you can stay dry.
Packing for Orlando Florida Weather
Most important is to wear as many natural fiber clothes are possible -- cottons are great! They help keep you cool in the summer, warm in the winter.
From November through February, please pack a jacket or at least a warm sweather. You may not need it, but odds are that you will. I used to live in Orlando and I can tell you we can have days in the 80's...or in the 20's! Most days should be in the upper 60's or low 70's, but cold fronts can and do come through.
Dress in layers for weather between October and April. Nights and mornings can be cool, warming up as the day goes on.
In the summer, think shorts or lightweight pants for the attractions, bathing suits for the waterparks! The nights tend to be in the 70's and fairly humid.
Your Orlando vacation is a special time, and hopefully the Orlando Florida weather will cooperate, no matter what time of year you visit!
