Palms at South Beach

Last fall, my husband and I spent a wonderful "second honeymoon" at the Palms at South Beach. This hotel was directly on the beach and the surrounding neighborhood of South Beach Miami was very upscale.
We were able to walk from the hotel to restaurants and bars serving delicious food, although the hotel had a few very excellent restaurants as well.
When we were not shopping or eating, we found it very pleasant to spend time in our room (it was our second honeymoon after all) even though we had booked one of the least expensive rooms in the hotel.
While the weather during our trip was not exceptionally sunny, we did spend some time outdoors on the beach soaking up sun or laying around in hammocks under palm trees. We did most of our swimming in the hotel pools since neither my husband or I care to swim in salt water. We did dip our toes in the ocean and found it very warm and inviting.
The hotel serve was excellent and overall it was a good value for the money, but not something that we could afford every year. Perhaps we will save up and return there for our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary that is just a few years away!
