Pet Friendly Beaches, Florida Keys
Finding pet friendly beaches in the Florida Keys is a little tricky, on account of the fact that there aren't many beaches in the Florida Keys! The islands are mostly rock, so there is little sand.
But does that mean you can't bring your family pet to the Florida Keys? No, because there are places that are pet-friendly.
On this page I'll include the two Florida Keys beaches that do allow dogs, as well as some state parks that allow dogs (just not on the beach part).
Pet Friendly Beaches in the Florida Keys
There are two pet friendly beaches Florida Keys, and they are:
Anne's Beach -- located in Islamorada, it's at Mile Marker 73.5 on the ocean side. There are picnic tables and a boardwalk through the mabgroves, in addition to the beach itself. There is no admission cost to visit the beach. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. No permit is required.
Veteran's Memorial Park -- located on Little Duck Key, it's at Mile Marker 40, just south of the Seven Mile Bridge. A small beach with picnic tables and restrooms. No admission fee. Dogs mucg be on a 6 foot or shorter leash. No permit is required.
Dog Friendly Parks in the Florida Keys
There are quite a few Florida State Parks located in the Florida Keys, and they are pet-friendly -- up to a point. Dogs are required to be on a leash, and they cannot go onto the beaches themselves. They are welcome on the hiking trails, boardwalks and in the camping area. An admission fee is required to get into the parks, and no permit is required.
The pet friendly Florida Keys parks are as follows (in alphabetical order):
