The Siesta Key Public Beach was voted the Nation's Best Beach...a few years back. The sand is as soft as sugar and almost as white. It goes on for miles and also boasts one of the best sunsets. Family friendly, this beach has two hamburger shacks, a gift shack, kayak and beach toy rentals, and nestled under a large canopy of trees there is a large playground and picnic area that serves hundreds.

One of the most significant events that happen on Siesta key Public Beach is what is know as "The Drum Circle". Every Sunday night at 6pm hundreds of people gather to either play or listen to the drums that are centered around a bon fire. Very much like the sunset at the Southern Most Point in Key West, the "drum circle" seranades the sun as it sets for the day and everyone is there to celebrate.
