Universal Studios Islands of AdventureThe Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is the other half of Universal Studios Florida. What's so different about these two theme parks, and what ticket prices can you expect? The two parks are quite similar, but if you like rides and thrills more than shows and behind the scenes of a movie studio, then Islands of Adventure is your park! The Thrill of it All!Islands of Adventure is the side that has the most roller coasters. The two largest are The Incredible Hulk Coaster and the Dragon Challenge. The Dragon Challenge coaster has two sides, and two coasters go at once. At one point, those two coasters pass within mere inches of each other! Now that would be heart-stopping, for sure. There's also the Doctor Doom's FearFall, which is similar to Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's one of those thrill rides where you take an elevator up and up and up, and then the floor seems to fall out from under you! These three are the biggest of the thrill rides, but there are plenty more smaller ones. Show MeThere are three main shows at the Islands, and they are:
Harry Potter and ThingsTake a look at Jurassic Park River Adventure. However if you do more than look and actually get on the ride, prepare to get wet! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is now open, and it's almost a sub-park in itself. In this area you'll find plenty of shops, the Dragon Challenge coaster, plus the Flight of the Hippogriff, which is a more family-friendly roller coaster ride. And let's not forget Harry Potter and the Forbidden Adventure! And when you're done with all that, find Three Broomsticks for a bite to eat, with authentic British pub food. Universal Studios Islands of Adventure - TicketsSince Islands of Adventure is a separate park from Universal Studios Florida, they charge separate admissions.. Currently, the 1-park admission to Islands of Adventure for 1 day is $82 for anyone over the age of 10, and $74 for kids from 3 through 9. If you want to move back and forth between Islands and Unitversal Studios proper in a single day, the costs are $112 for the over 10 crowd and $104 to the 3 to 9 children. Can you get better deals on these prices? Naturally, if you go for a Universal Studios vacation package, and especially if you get a multi-day ticket. Check around on the internet for some great package deals for the theme parks and area resorts. There you go -- an overview of Universal Studios Islands of Adventure!
